Other Review 9y ago. I did not like this school. The staff would let the kids do anything they pleased. The school didnt have any structure. Parent Review 11y ago. Riverside School. The teachers, principals, and staff are caring and knowledgeable. I also love the diversity of the students. Robinson G Jones Elementary School. The school looks to improve what they do each year.

My 3 kids love this school, and so do I. My youngest came into this school being academically challenged. Academically she is doing much better now. The administration seems to be in control of the kids behavior, and have not allowed the students to take over the school. They really give the kids opportunities to expand on their skills. They provide an after school program called "Score" which my kids participate in every year. This school is much better than it is rated in my opinion.

I think one of the best elementary schools in NE Ohio. Scranton School. It's all an act to keep up numbers in which they are still failing at. Not every child is in their best interest and I would never recommend a child be placed here. My child is new to the school. So far she is being bullied and the teachers are doing nothing about it.

This is new for her and has sent her into a state of depression. She has tried to commit suicide because they bully her. I have to get her psychiatric help due to their bullying. The program they have for this is not working. They are not enforcing the rules upon the student. I now want to home school my children. Parent Review 5y ago.

Walton School. On a scale from 1 being the worst and 10 being the best I give them a zero! There is no communication with the parents. When there's a problem the principal hides away from the parents. The staff demands respect from the students but do not teach the students how to respect in return. Bullying comes in more than one form and if that's cool they have all forms of bullying. Waverly Elementary School. This school USED to be a decent school before a different Principal was put in office starting in The current Principal is very unprofessional.

There has been several occasions that I have went to the school to bring lunch to my children and I witnessed her flirting with a security guard and my children have witnessed her flirting with other male staff as well. There has been no heat in school for two days and no lights in the cafeteria and those poor children were forced to withstand being cold while the outside temp has been in the thirties. The Principal is uncourteous and never greets me with a smile.

She is rather intimidating and I will be transfering my children soon. Joseph M Gallagher School. The place has no structure and lacks the competents that is needed for the kids in this school!

Which is a great thing in this type of world that we live in today, by knowing this it gives you a little scene of comfort. So when you witnes a mother clearly upset outside of the office talking to a security guard about all of the cameras don't work and haven't for sometime now!

Not Good! How can these teachers and principals lie like this? Whitney Young School. I am a junior in high school this year, and I have been at Whitney Young since 7th grade. I am just now transferring to John Hay this year. When I initially started attending wym in , I loved the school. I loved it because there were a lot of students being that it was Meaning there were high school students, and overall a nice amount of kids.

Academic wise, it wasn't the best but I liked the school. By 9th grade, I began to hate the school. Everybody was leaving, population dropped tremendously, and my teachers changed. Whitney Young has a very small selection of teachers, high school teachers especially. Half of them are not good teachers. By my sophomore year, I absolutely hated Whitney young, and dreaded going to school each day.

Not only is the building old, and literally falling apart, it's not a real high school. The school offers no college prep, career prep, or any kind of prep for that matter. As a sophomore, I only had two teachers that had a nice organized class, cared about us, and actually taught us. Reese will be your angel sent from heaven, she's the only good thing about Whitney Young, if you attend this school, make sure you try to get as close to her as possible.

The principal is awful, she's very rude, to teachers and students. She has a nasty attitude and she's unfair. The school has gone downhill ever since she became the principal.

She used to be the guidance counselor many, many, years ago. Some have been together longer than that. There's no diversity at this school, and this school can offer you nothing. This school is far too overrated, and the high school needs to be shut down. Middle school and elementary school is fine. But the high school portion needs to be taken out. Now, they've added a new school called Citizen's Academy South East to the annex, with means that graders at Whitney young will all have to be together in the same building.

I'm not sure how this is going to work out, but I don't care because I will be at John Hay learning. If you don't want to go to a real high school, and you don't want to learn.

Come to Wmy. Student Review 6y ago. Wilbur Wright School. Wilbur Wright is a wonderful school. My child has done very well. There is communication between the parents and teachers. The teachers work hard to make sure all the kids are successful. My child has lots of friends and really likes his teachers.

He is learning so much and hardly ever misses school. William C Bryant Elementary School. I wouldn't be fighting with the school if I just went with home-schooling him Parent Review 1y ago. Willow School. I think this school is great. My son loves it. They take care of our kids like their own. Louisa May Alcott Elementary School. Very average. My experience started out bad, got better and now is just kinda "eh". Glenville High School. Nathan Hale School. George Washington Carver.

GWC is on the move to better things. It has made some improvements this past year, but still needs to continue to focus on culture and raising student achievement. They have gotten some new teachers and the shift is coming! Other Review 5y ago. Garfield Elementary School. The office staff is rude and plays favorites. If you have a question they their answer is always, "I don't know", or "You have to ask someone else because I'm typing right now".

There are other staff members who play favorites as well, such a certain paraprofessionals or security. If they don't feel you belong, then they treat you like it. They only call the parents if your kids are sick if they feel like it. One kid needed stitches and the parent didn't find out until she picked him up, which was 3 hours later. I removed my kids from this school because that behavior is very unprofessional and I don't want my kids to be treated badly because they don't like the parents.

My children were moved from the far east suburbs of willoughby to Cleveland in the middle of the year. I was extremely worried being they were use to a top school in NE Ohio and almira had bad ratings. This school Is amazing. It's beautiful and up to date and has a great system for so many children.

The way they handle classes dismissals and meals is organized and we'll think thought out. I have yet to meet a teacher that is unfriendly or has a frustrating I hate my job attitude. The staff is wonderful and my child learned more in a week than she did all year at old school. This is highly recommend. Great job Almira I am very impressed. Even my mother who is a teacher in a private school had nothing but praises. This school Is a gem in Cleveland rough school district and I can see why they have a waiting list.

Thomas Jefferson School. The principal there is rude and unprofessional. She treats the teachers and faculty very mean. From what I was able to observe they fear her and staff walks around like soldiers jumping at her request. She treats the children their very unprofessional by screaming at them and making fun of them when they start to cry. She calls them names and is just a miserable person. I do not recommend this school at all which is sad because the teachers that I was able to come in contact with are very pleasant.

Willson School. Willson school is great. Not Good! How can these teachers and principals lie like this? Whitney Young School. This school still have bullying issues I've called the principal never called me back nor did transportation other then that its a good school we'll see what next year have n store.

Daniel E Morgan School. I assumed the children would be out of control for a substitute. Well, i was wrong. From 5th grade to K, they were awesome! I traveled to each room, their own environment, they seem relaxed. Some teachers use positive performance cards which students are rewarded by end of week instead of punishments. The kids were polite to me to a sub!?!

Smiling faces of course, they were the ones getting rewards with good grades. Also a new school, seem to have an affect on behaviors. I never substituted higher than 5th grade, but from what I saw, they seem tough. I substitute again this week, so we shall see how that goes. To be continued Other Review 11y ago. Franklin D. Miles Park School. The teachers are kind but they tend to quiet when the students are being obnoxious. The students are rude and uncaring.

Jamison is the best school in the world to me my kids love this school well this is my lil girl last year she will be going to the 8th grade and my son will be going to the 2nd. I really think this school has great teachers and staff and im here to say that my kids attend Robert H. Wade Park. Check out schools near Alvin Ave.
