I enjoyed working at Wet Seal. The managers were always friendly and willing to help you out if you needed assistance. They were willing to work around my schedule and treated their staff very well. Pros management. Cons pay. Great experience with coworkers and management. Flexible shifts. Turnover every year or two, minimum wage. Management, training and management experience was fantastic, yet too much physical risk with no company insurance benefits and low pay. Manager and assistant managers taught all they knew freely.
Quality coworkers, great sales experience. My storefront closed Wet Seal was mostly Fun. I love working for the company. My management and team were amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better team.
Def love keeping up with the current styles and helping others out with fashionable advice! This was a very demanding and fast paced job. A lot of times, you are expected to stay late without overtime pay. My phone always rang off the hook on my days and shifts off, and it was all for information that I had left redily availble in the store for the next manager.
Pros Good people. I worked with a great team of people. Unfortunately the company started closing stores. I am not sure if there are many shops left. Everyone was supportive of one another. Flexibility was great especially since I worked another job. Pros Free time. Cons Low pay. It was ok for my first job. Pay was not good. Hours were low. Was a bit boring at times when no customers would come in. Management was ok. I had leave because of hours. Would you rate your company five stars? Rate your employer to help people make better career decisions. Was a fun first job. Was my first real retail job and for what it was, it was enjoyable to some extent.
No real sense of organization with goals to be met and no real training. Glad I left when I did as my particular store had two of the three managers walk out for lunch and never return.
Upper management would never take anything seriously. The clothes were super cute. I also like that I worked next to the pretzel store. I think the customers made the job what it was.
